Karella Compact 45 Sound Insulation Backboard Surround - Sound Dampener

Darts produce a “thudding” sound when hitting the board, which can sometimes be very disturbing in the immediate environment or for neighbors. Together with sound experts, Karella has now developed the perfect solution to almost completely eliminate this noise. Darters have been waiting for such an invention for a long time.

The secret lies in the material composition and construction:
The 2-piece Karella sound insulation consists of a sound insulation core to which the steel-tip dartboard is attached, and a surrounding sound insulation ring with a diameter of 45 cm. Both components are made from millions of highly specialized sound-absorbing fibers. The combination of the sound insulation core and the surrounding sound insulation ring achieves an almost complete decoupling of the sound. When the dart hits the board, the dull thud is spread across the entire fiber panel on the back of the dartboard. Professional measurements have shown a noise reduction of more than 80% in adjacent rooms. The measured values were below 30 dB, thereby fully ensuring legal night-time quiet.

The anthracite-colored Karella Sound Protection Compact has exactly the same size and diameter as a standard tournament dartboard. This allows the sound dampener to fit perfectly behind the dartboard and makes it fully compatible with all surrounds and lighting systems. The Karella sound insulation is 100% Made in Germany.

The fiber material is tested for harmful substances according to Öko-Tex standards, without any chemical additives. Odor-neutral and environmentally friendly. The sound insulation is very dimensionally stable and therefore particularly robust and durable, as it is virtually wear-free.
